Velociti Joins Partnership with Phillips Connect and Justin Ashley Racing

Irvine, CA (June 1, 2022) – Velociti announced its partnership with Phillips Connect and Justin Ashley Racing for the remainder of the 2022 NHRA Camping World drag racing series. Velociti will serve as Phillips Connect’s technology deployment expert at the track, and join the team for VIP drag racing experiences.

“We’re excited about the partnership and look forward to hosting our clients, partners and employees to a truly unique hospitality experience,” said Velociti SVP, Ryan Powell.  “We have a long history in motorsports and this next chapter with Phillips Connect and Justin Ashley Racing will allow us to reach an even larger audience.”

Velociti was recently named Phillips Connect’s exclusive deployment partner and in less than 12 months, has installed more than 10,000 of Phillips Connect’s full smart trailer solutions onto trailers around the country. Velociti focuses its business around rapid, professionally managed deployments, and saw a fit with the Top Fuel action at the NHRA.

“I’ve known Ryan and Deryk for more than 10 years and have been working with them for a while,” said Phillips Connect EVP and prior NHRA Funny Car driver, Jim Epler. “Phillips Connect partnered with Velociti to ensure the most efficient designs and installations for our customers. We’re proud to have them in our NHRA drag racing program, and I’m excited to put this partnership together and watch it grow.”

Velociti recently launched its Technician Training Program, the only program of its kind that trains each of its technicians to ensure proper knowledge and quality of service. Velociti holds a reputation for rapid, high-quality technology deployments in the transportation industry, similar to the Davis Motorsports pit crew at the NHRA.

“I am excited to begin our partnership with Velociti and look forward to working closely together throughout the remainder of the season,” said Justin Ashley, three-time NHRA Top Fuel winner. “Velociti is predicated on fast, efficient, and proper technology installation. The same principles apply to our race team. For our Phillips Connect Top Fuel dragster to be successful, our team works diligently on the race car with the same principles at the forefront of what we do. Working with a company like Velociti that shares our core values is critical to our success and we can’t wait to introduce them to the NHRA fans and community.”

Velociti will kick off its partnership with Justin Ashley and Phillips Connect at the NHRA New England Nationals on June 3, 2022 at the New England Dragway.
